At Predict & Pour, we take your privacy seriously. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use our forecasting platform and Chrome extension.
📊 What Information We Collect
1. Account Information (Web Application)
- Username: Your chosen username for authentication
- Email address: For account identification and communication
- Password: Stored as an encrypted hash (we never see your actual password)
- Last login timestamp: To track account activity
2. Forecast Data (Web Application & Extension)
🔒 Your Forecast Data Stays Private
Important: Your forecast numbers and sales data are never sent to our servers. Here's how your data is handled:
- Web Application (Predict): When you upload Excel files for forecasting, your data is processed in your browser session only and temporarily on our server for calculations. We do not store your raw sales data, SKU information, or forecast values.
- Chrome Extension (Pour): Your uploaded forecast Excel files are stored only in your browser's local storage. We cannot see, access, or retrieve this data from our end.
- Session-Only Storage: All forecast data is cleared when you close your browser or log out.
Bottom Line: We have no access to your competitive sales data, forecasts, or business intelligence. Your numbers are yours alone.

- Session cookies: To keep you logged in securely
- Browser type and version: For compatibility and troubleshooting
- Access logs: IP addresses and timestamps for security purposes
🔐 How We Use Your Information
Web Application (Predict & Pour System)
- Authentication: Verify your identity when you log in
- Forecasting Calculations: Process your uploaded data to generate forecasts (data is not stored after processing)
- Service Delivery: Provide you with forecast reports and Excel exports
- Account Security: Monitor for suspicious login activity
Chrome Extension (Pour)
- Authentication Check: Verify you're logged in to enable the extension
- Data Transfer: Read your locally-stored forecast data and fill it into OnePortal (this happens entirely in your browser)
- Session Management: Maintain your login state between the extension and web application
💾 How We Store Your Information
Server Storage (Secure Database)
- Account credentials: Stored in encrypted SQLite database with bcrypt password hashing
- User metadata: Account creation dates, last login times
- Location: Azure Cloud infrastructure in the United States
Local Storage (Your Browser Only)
- Extension data: Uploaded forecast Excel files stored in Chrome's local storage API
- Session cookies: Authentication tokens (cleared when you log out)
⚠️ What We DON'T Store
- ❌ Your raw sales data or forecast numbers
- ❌ SKU/PDCN-specific information
- ❌ OnePortal credentials or access tokens
- ❌ Excel file contents on our servers
- ❌ Any personally identifiable business intelligence
🤝 Data Sharing & Third Parties
We do not sell, trade, rent, or share your personal information with third parties. Period.
Limited Exceptions:
- Azure Cloud Services: Our hosting provider (Microsoft Azure) has access to infrastructure but not to your unencrypted data
- Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or government request
- Security Incidents: In the event of a data breach, we will notify affected users as required by law

We implement industry-standard security practices to protect your data:
- Encryption: All data transmitted between your browser and our servers uses HTTPS/TLS encryption
- Password Security: Passwords are hashed using bcrypt (one-way encryption) and never stored in plain text
- Session Management: Secure session cookies with HttpOnly and SameSite flags
- Access Control: Limited access to production systems and databases
- Regular Updates: We keep our software dependencies up-to-date with security patches

Managing Your Data:
- Clear Extension Data: Click the "Clear" button in the Pour extension popup to delete locally-stored forecast data
- Log Out: Logging out clears your session cookies
- Account Deletion: Contact us at aaron@predictandpour.com to delete your account
🌐 Third-Party Services
OnePortal Integration
The Pour extension interacts with OnePortal (oneportal.beertech.com) to fill forecast data. We do not control OnePortal's privacy practices. Your use of OnePortal is subject to their own privacy policy.
Chrome Web Store
When you install the Pour extension from the Chrome Web Store, Google's privacy policy applies to the installation process. We do not receive any personal information from Google about your installation.
🔄 Data Retention
- Account Data: Retained while your account is active
- Login Records: Kept for 90 days for security purposes
- Deleted Accounts: Permanently removed within 30 days of deletion request
- Forecast Data: Not retained (processed in memory only during active sessions)
👨💼 Business Transfers
In the event that Predict & Pour is acquired by or merged with another company, user data may be transferred. We will notify you via email before any such transfer and provide options for account deletion if desired.
📝 Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we do:
- We will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page
- For material changes, we will notify you via email
- Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance
